Once again the news started its mislead machine attempting to place President Obama’s executive order to close Guantanamo Bay (GITMO) within one year and the terrorist Said Ali al-Shihri rising to power after being released in 2007 by President Bush. It’s true, in some articles they explain that Shihri was captured, interrogated, imprisoned and eventually released in 2007. The headlines and the direction that many of the stories went, attempted to make the casual glancing reader believe that Obama was directly responsible. I can say that I myself at first glance thought that Obama’s order had something to do with it, but I found more articles that explained things further. I know that some people will only see the headlines or the bad articles and that’s what bothers me.

When you hear numbers like 700-800 billion dollars to pull the economy and country out of a possible recession, I think wow that’s a whole lot of money. Think about it. All this money that they can somehow find after the financial markets and big banks are in trouble. They couldn’t find it for Katrina. They could find it when all of these home owners start losing their homes. They couldn’t find it to fix cities like Detroit that have been devastated by poverty, foreclosures, and unemployment way before the crisis hit. These big corporations who basically create the lower class. These are the companies that choose to pay workers minimum wage, and work with congress to keep it low. The same companies that give out million dollar bonuses to CEO’s because they “keep cost low” but at what cost? On who’s back? Then, they say that it’s the game and you just have to play, but what happens when they won’t let you on the field?
They keep you off the field when your school, neighborhood, and everything you know is the way you know it, and that usually is poor. Urban schools receiving less than their share of state funding and they try to excuse it by screaming test scores; test that the White schools get the top-of-the-line preparation for. Then when you look at the mis-education that we all receive; everyone being taught that Blacks and Africans/Africa are silly, non-contributing, ignorant, useless people. We are taught that everything European or White is right and the only things worth studing.
When you look at it from this point, why would you stay in school if I taught you to dislike yourself. How much interest would you have? Then, they say we just lazy. No we tired.
So no education equals no representation, and if you love yourself you have to make it through ignoring what they say or think about you, learn real history so they can’t fool you and then we can help ourselves without they bailout!
