pixel Quick Wedding Style for Natural Hair

Visit BlackOnyx World for Natural Hair Products and Hot Handmade Jewelry www.blackonyxworld.com Okay so I wasn’t going to upload this video because I did it while on vacation. Apparently I lost the pictures of the back of my hair. Anyway here is what I did manage to save. The style is pretty easy and mostly played up with accessories. All the jewelry and hair accessories can be found at my site under Nyamani Chic Hair flowers and Diva Shop. The hair products used are also there under Alikay Naturals. Luka Lomi’s Natural Hair Journey

August 24th, 2010 25 comments

As a teenager I went through many stages, but I could not find the right fit. I love being an individual and finally I have found a way to express myself. Natural hair is a lifestyle for many, and I am no exception. The health of my hair is far more important than the length. Length will come. I have been a fotki junkie for 3 years and now it’s time for me to share with those who may not know about fotki or lukalomi. This is the beginning guys, I have much more to show you.

NATURAL HAIR: DEFINING THE CURL; LAYERING CONDITIONER AND ECO STYLER GEL

August 24th, 2010 25 comments

This is a how i did a wash and go by layering EcoStyler Olive oil gel on top of Suave Naturals Refreshing Tangerine Conditioner. Background music created by “the Boy” I’d give the conditioner 2/5 as a conditioner for cowashes but 4/5 as a leave in under the gel….it made the detangling process after 4 days very easy.

Natural Hair Journey 2 years

August 23rd, 2010 25 comments

My hair journey from the last 2 years. I been natural since 2004 but I went to the shop on March 15th 2008 and got my hair pressed. The beautician damaged my hair beyond repair. I had to start all over. I didn’t know my hair was damaged and I got it pressed one more time on April 2nd, which is why I consider April 2nd my two year mark. I transitioned by wearing braids. And braids is my go to style when I want to protect my hair. I transitioned about 5 months then big chopped. I still had about 1 1/2 inches of straight ends that I would rod. I eventually trimmed them off.

My Natural Hair Journey

August 18th, 2010 25 comments

I have been transitioning since August 2008. I have been tempted many times to resort back to no-lye relaxers due to the frustration of having half natural and half relaxed hair. I’m proud to say that I stayed strong and pulled through. Now I love my natural hair and I am never going back to relaxers! I have decided not to do the “Big Chop” just yet, so I have been cutting my ends inch by inch every couple of months. I am still learning, and if you have any questions or comments please feel free to voice your concerns. This is my journey thus far….
